IMO 2026 team announcement

New Zealand's IMO team for the 2026 International Mathematical Olympiad has been announced. This team of six will represent New Zealand at the International Mathematical Olympiad in Shanghai, China this year.

The New Zealand Maths Olympiad team members are:

• Alston Huang, Rangitoto College
• Guan Han Li, Rangitoto College
• Gwang Ho Kim, Rangitoto College
• Ruishan Bella Chen, Saint Kentigern College
• Yiwei Zhao, Botany Downs Secondary College
• Zhiyuan Yu, Macleans College

The New Zealand team leadership will be:

• Kevin Shen, New Zealand Automobile Association (Leader)
• Ethan Ng, Syos Aerospace (Deputy Leader)
• May Meng, King's College (Manager)
