Maths Workshops
The NZMOC run regular 'maths workshops' in various locations in New Zealand. A maths workshop is a place for recreational mathematicians to meet and practice solving problems. Our attendees are mostly high school students, but anyone is welcome to attend. If you would like to attend, simply sign up to the mailing list below and then show up.
Maths Workshop changes due to COVID-19
Unfortunately Christchurch workshops will be cancelled during stage red.
Online workshops are scheduled regularly each month, with anyone invited to attend.
Auckland (North) will be going ahead as normal under stage orange, but will be held online via Google Meet at stage red.
When attending an in-person workshop, please make sure you maintain your social distance (1m) from other students and staff, wash your hands regularly, and stay at home if you feel unwell.

Discuss the workshop problems online
We have a fairly active community online, consisting of students and helpers from all over New Zealand and some from other parts of the world. If you cannot attend a workshop in person, then feel free to have a go at the problems anyway, and discuss them with others.
The NZMOC is usually happy to support the creation of new Maths Workshops at alternative venues. If you are interested starting a Workshop at your local school or university then contact the NZMOC secretary, for information.
