Alan Parris Award 2026

The NZMOC has an award which was set up in memory of Alan Parris, one of the founding members of the New Zealand Mathematical Olympiad Committee (NZMOC). Alan was a secondary school teacher in Christchurch at Linwood College, and was the camp manager for many years. The award is for January Training Camp attendees, with the aim of promoting equal opportunity and diversity in mathematics, and broadening the range of schools and regions with students participating in NZMOC activities.

It is my pleasure to announce that in 2026 we gave the award, to the following students:
