IMO 2025 team announcement

New Zealand’s IMO team for the 2025 International Mathematical Olympiad has been announced. This team of six will represent New Zealand at the International Mathematical Olympiad in Sunshine Coast, Australia this year.

The New Zealand Maths Olympiad team members are:

• Yu-Jui Chu, Auckland Grammar School
• Ray Heng Shi, King’s College
• Haotian Wang, Auckland Grammar School
• Banghan Xiao, Rangitoto College
• Wai Lap Yam, Macleans College
• Jay Zhao, Macleans College

The New Zealand team leadership will be:

• Kevin Shen, New Zealand Automobile Association (Leader)
• Ethan Ng, Syos Aerospace (Deputy Leader)
