IMO 2009: Drawing to a close

The last few days have been full of activity, as the IMO draws to a close: the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the IMO on Sunday 19th; an excursion (with 1200 participants!) to Wangerooge and the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site on Monday 20th; and of course the closing and awards ceremony on Tuesday 21st. 2009 IMO: Coordination has begun

The coordination (a.k.a. marking) process has begun for NZ at the 2009 IMO. Our first coordination took place in the middle of a torrential downpour, hopefully not an omen. After a slightly awkward start with one of the coordinators confusing the status of Heather (deputy) and Chris (observer), the process was a relatively amicable one. Read more »
