March Problems, January Solutions
Monday, March 2, 2009 8:18Hello everyone. Here are the March Problems, and also the January Solutions. Have fun, and keep those solutions coming!
Update, 3rd March 2009: a typo in Problem four has been corrected – the problem should read “a sequence of 1000 consecutive integers”.

about the solution and problem no. 1, it does not specify the way (direction) it goes. So the solution should could be 1 of 2.

Well spotted! The problem should have specified that Rex runs counterclockwise.
If Rex runs clockwise rather than counterclockwise, the question becomes ambiguous, since it’s no longer clear from context exactly when the “first lap” ends and the “second lap” begins.
